Birmingham, AL: Craters & Freighters Birmingham announced that this month, May 2022, is their ninth anniversary. This milestone is a major move for the near-decade-old crating and shipping franchise on its mission to be the most responsive crating and packaging company the world knows.
Craters & Freighters offers leadership and guidance in the customized and specialty crating and packaging market. The franchise is committed to each customers’ needs, their employees, and their community as a whole.
“Craters & Freighters Birmingham’s nine-year Anniversary is an exciting time,” explained Russ Connelly, Owner of Craters & Freighters franchises in Nashville and Birmingham. He continued, “The company began operations in a 3,000-square-foot facility in Bessemer, AL, with a two-person crew and has grown into a 30,000-square-foot facility in Brent, AL., employing a 10-man team. We are extremely proud to serve our customers in the great state of Alabama!”
This news comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments of the company, including:
- Establishing the company as a Tier One supplier to the Auto Industry.
- Expanding its packaging capabilities to include CNC machined foam and wood. In addition, the company added an onsite packaging engineer. As a result, the company can better serve its customers in the design of new packaging materials.
- Expanding its operations into a new 30,000-square-foot facility in Brent, AL, in September of 2019.
Josh Junkin, Production Manager, said, “Over the last nine years, I’ve learned so much about this business. From humble beginnings to a legitimate workforce, it’s hard to believe what we’ve completed and accomplished during this time.
